When I first bought this expansion, I had the impression that I will be able to play as the Norse and do a lot of Viking raiding and conquering. I then found out after I bought it that it not only allows me to play as the Vikings, but the Mongols as well. The expansion also added some features to the technology system and supposively to the rebels system (as mentioned by the developers in a video diary, but I can't seem to see the difference)However, I was a bit surpised that I have to purchase the Norse faces, hymns to the old Gods and nrose unit packs individually, since this expansion costed $5 more than the Republic and Sword of Islam (although I know that Paradox have practiced this marketing strategy since Hearts of Iron 3)
Overall, if you like the CK2 base game, this is one of those must-haves along with the Republic and Sword of Islam expansions.
